“ADVANCE CERTIFICATE COURSE IN MANUAL THERAPY”

Mangalore (November 22nd – December 1st , 2019)

MCMT Course Philosophy

This Manual Therapy programme aims to facilitate a clinical approach presented from a broad perspective with respect for the integration of articular, muscular, fascial and neurogenic structures. Emphasis is given to the new insights of connective tissue.  Functional anatomy and kinesiology of the ventral and dorsal slings are intensively studied and the role of fascia structures are discussed in a new perspective.

This MTFI workshop provides a critical insight into the complex anatomy and function of the musculo- fascia-skeletal system. The course facilitates analysing the mechanism behind possible dysfunctions, providing new clinical skills to enhance rehabilitation strategies and to treat the dysfunctions.

Course Benefits

This course facilitates the identification of muscular imbalances, the fascial concepts and the various joint dysfunctions. In present day many patients come with trigger points along with muscular and fascial tightness. The MET and MFR techniques are very useful for correcting the muscular and fascial dysfunctions. The High Velocity Thrust techniques are excellent techniques to correct several articular dysfunctions of vertebral region, pelvic complex and peripheral joints.

The positional release techniques are useful to treat acute pain in muscles and joints. The lymphatic manipulation techniques are useful to facilitate the lymphatic drainage. The lymphatic drainage gets affected in case of chronic involvement of joints and skeletal muscles. In craniosacral therapy the therapist gently work with the spine, the skull and its cranial sutures, diaphragms and fascia. In this way, the restrictions of nerve passages are said to be eased, the movement of cerebrospinal fluid through the spinal cord is said to be optimized, and misaligned bones are said to be restored to their proper position. Craniosacral therapy is used  to treat mental stress, neck and back pain, migraines, TMJ Syndrome, and for chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia.
